The Southern Oregon University campus is being visited by a couple of coyotes, so the administration took matters in their own hands and sent a blast email to the entire student body and faculty warning them of the potential threat.

“If you see a cougar, please call 911,” a student administrator said in the email.

And one student replied to the email, CC-ing the entire school, with a witty response. In a reply to the “AllStudents” contact, a SOU student replied “That’s just my mom.”

Southern Oregon University student Lauren Devine tweeted out the thread.

“My school sent out a warning about cougar sightings & some kid replied this to the entire school,” Devine wrote.

What a hero. This student, whoever he may be, had both the respect and admiration for his mom to hype her like this. He didn’t grab the low-hanging fruit of a “your mom” joke. He told the whole school how pretty his mom is. That takes some serious guts. What a brave young man. Everyone should take a moment and appreciate this anonymous Southern Oregon student.
