A Japanese sumo wrestling couple who taught the sport to high school students were accused of sexual harassment and fired over the claims, the New York Post reported Thursday.

A husband and wife sumo wrestling duo were accused of sexual harassment at Hiryu High School in Numazu in Japan. The husband was in his 20s and his wife was in her 30s, and the alleged incidents happened October 2017.

The couple began working as sumo wrestling coaches April 2017, and allegedly harassed two female students who alerted the head of the sumo wrestling school.

The husband allegedly took a towel from a male sumo wrestler while he was changing in front of his female pupils. The female sumo wrestling teacher reportedly taunted the high school boys by asking if they wanted to see her breasts.

“We will properly check what is going on so that our students can go about school activities with peace of mind and ensure that such a problem will never occur again,” the high school’s principal Hideo Sakane told The Asahi Shimbun.

The husband and wife apologized following the alleged sexual harassment incidents.
