Mike Huckabee said in an interview Monday that his daughter White House press secretary Sarah Sanders is already over Michelle Wolf’s jokes about her at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
Huckabee told The Hollywood Reporter, “She’s moved on. Again, my daughter’s a remarkable person and she’s strong. Things like that aren’t going to cause her to lose sleep.”
He also said that Sanders “handled it a whole lot better than I think that most people do, and it just did not seem to cause her — she didn’t go home and cry her eyes out or anything like that. It’s just not who she is.”

Comedian Michelle Wolf, who hosted the dinner, poked fun at everyone. However, she reserved a special viciousness for Sanders, poking fun at her looks and saying that she is a disappointment to white women. (RELATED: Comedian Labels Sarah Huckabee Sanders A Disappointment To White Women)
Even some members of the establishment media thought that it crossed a line. The New York Times’ Maggie Haberman tweeted:
