North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is reportedly game to meet President Donald Trump in the Joint Security Area of the heavily fortified Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).

South Korean President Moon Jae-in apparently convinced the young North Korean leader to hold his summit with Trump in Panmunjom, CNN revealed, citing an “official with deep knowledge of North Korea’s thinking on the matter.” The official told reporters there is a “strong possibility” the unprecedented meeting will be held at this site.

Moon and Kim met for the first time on April 27 at the Peace House on the southern side of the Joint Security Area. During the meeting, the two sides agreed to pursue a permanent peace, as well as a nuclear-free Korean Peninsula through “complete denuclearization.”

Trump seemed to suggest Monday that he would be open to a meeting at the same location in the coming weeks.

He elaborated on his interest in meeting at the DMZ Monday. “There’s something I like about it, because you’re there, if things work out, there’s a great celebration to be had on the site, not in a third party country,” Trump told reporters.

South Korea responded positively, with a Blue House official welcoming the American and North Korean leaders to hold their historic meeting at Panmunjom.

“We think Panmunjom is quite meaningful as a place to erode the divide and establish a new milestone for peace,” the senior South Korean official revealed to reporters, according to Yonhap News Agency. “Wouldn’t Panmunjom be the most symbolic place?”

Other potential locations for the summit include Singapore or Mongolia.
