A school in Chula Vista, California, is causing quite a stir after someone notified a local news station about the school’s mural depicting a severed head of President Donald Trump.

According to KUSI News Thursday, behind the MAAC Charter school is a series of walls with colorful murals on them. However, one shows the painting of an Aztec warrior holding a spear with a bloody head of Trump.

The station said they reached out to the school earlier in the week, who then got back to them and said that the mural “does not align with our school’s” non-violence philosophy.

“We understand that there was a mural painted at the event this past weekend that does not align with our school’s philosophy of non-violence. We have been in communication with the artist who has agreed to modify the artwork to better align with the school’s philosophy,” Director Tommy Ramirez explained.

People in the neighborhood said they found the mural both disturbing and inappropriate, especially being that it was at a school setting.

The artist who created the disturbing artwork is Sasha Andrade. She refused to speak to the outlet on camera about the community’s reaction. But thanked the station on her Facebook for the “free advertising” along with a laughing emoji.

Even comedian George Lopez has weighed in on the situation and reportedly liked it on Facebook.

The school has promised to either take it down or change it. Currently is being covered up with a large black tarp.
