Superstar rapper G-Eazy was arrested Wednesday night in Sweden after a fight broke out in a club. He was arrested on charges related to assault and cocaine possession.

According to TMZ, a fan approached the rapper in Stockholm’s Solidaritet nightclub asking for a photo. When G-Eazy declined, the admirer supposedly continued to bother Eazy and the people he was with. (RELATED: SUPERSTAR RAPPER ARRESTED ON SUSPICION OF ASSAULT AND NARCOTICS)

Eventually, the fan allegedly started taking photos of the rapper without permission. That upset the rapper, and a person he was with snatched the fan’s phone and smashed it, according to TMZ.

The fan then retaliated by allegedly shoving one member of G-Eazy’s crew, and things escalated from there.

As punches were flying, G-Eazy accidentally hit a club bodyguard who was trying to de-escalate the situation.

G-Eazy has been released from police custody and is not required to stay in the country. Since Sweden does not have bail laws, he was not required to pay any money for his release, although he was fined $9,000 and will have to pay restitution to the victim.

According to HotNewHipHop, by pleading guilty to the charges it automatically dismisses the charges, which in turn is why he’s allowed to leave the country and continue his scheduled tour, which will take him to Copenhagen, Denmark next.
