“Hangover” star Ken Jeong dusted off his doctor skills when he jumped off stage during the middle of his stand-up comedy show to help a woman having an emergency.
It all happened Saturday night during the 48-year-old comedian’s show in Phoenix, when an audience member in the third row started having a seizure, TMZ reported Sunday.
The outlet learned from eyewitnesses that at first the comedian thought he was being heckled by the woman, but soon realized what was happening and jumped right off the stage.
Jeong quickly pulled out his former medical experience, being a certified M.D., and cleared the area while attending to the woman until emergency crews arrived. Another member of the audience who was an E.M.T. also helped with the emergency.
The two reportedly were able to help the audience member regain consciousness and get back on her feet before paramedics arrived and took her to the hospital.
After the medical emergency ended, the actor got back up on stage and finished his show. He also addressed the situation with the crowd, saying he was happy to help. The comments lead to a round of applause from the audience.
