A young Taylor Swift fan welcomed a high-profile visitor while in the hospital for third-degree burns over the weekend.

Isabella McCune, eight years old, was hospitalized in Phoenix, Arizona, for devastating burns in the aftermath of a fire that broke out at a St. Patrick’s Day party in March, Fox News reports. McCune was treated at the Arizona Burn Center, and due to her stay there she was unable to attend Swift’s Phoenix tour stop.

On Wednesday, McCune and her family made a video asking Swift to visit the young fan because of her inability to leave the treatment center.

The video worked. Swift made a surprise trip to the hospital on Saturday to greet the young McCune. Swift brought the young fan a gift basket of concert gear from her tour, and stayed with her for about 20 minutes. Even though McCune said hugs can hurt at times, she accepted one from Swift during the visit.

Swift is currently on tour for her latest album “reputation.”
