A woman who was reportedly denied access to the restroom at a Canadian Tim Hortons restaurant on Wednesday decided to go anyway — right on the floor in front of staff, customers and a surveillance camera.
But that wasn’t the worst part.
The silent video posted by Liveleak shows the woman getting into a verbal confrontation with staff before backing up, squatting, doing her “business” right on the floor, then picking it up and throwing it across the counter before exiting the restaurant.
According to The Province, Royal Canadian Mounted Police Cpl. Holly Largy confirmed that officials were called regarding the incident and the woman was arrested and and released. She will appear at court later on indeterminate charges.
“Our current understanding is that the team member used their discretion in this case and denied access to this guest based on past behaviour and out of concern for the immediate safety of team members and guests in the restaurant. As matters escalated, the Team Member contacted local authorities for assistance,” said Tim Hortons in a statement, The Province reports. “We are deeply concerned by this video as the safety of our team members and guests is always a top priority for us. In limited cases across the country, Restaurants have a restricted access policy for restrooms to ensure the well-being of our guests.”
