Whoopi Goldberg slammed Roseanne Barr Wednesday after she retweeted a “horrific” photoshopped image of her wearing a T-shirt depicting President Donald Trump shooting himself in the head.

The comments came during a panel discussion on “The View” over the cancellation of “Roseanne” following a racist tweet the 65-year-old comedian made about former Obama aide Valerie Jarrett. In the now-deleted tweet, she said of Jarrett, who is African-American, “muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj.”

“So in her [Barr’s] twitter rant following the cancellation, she also retweeted a false picture of me,” Goldberg explained. “So here we go again. Here is the truth about the shirt I was wearing at the Woman’s March in New York.”

“It very clearly says, ‘and you thought I was a nasty woman before. Now Buckle up, Butter cup,'” she added, along with video of the shirt she was wearing to the march last year. “Now some bonehead photoshopped a horrific image on the shirt, and she retweeted this.”

“So this is what I’m going to say, Roseanne. That just because you were caught with your pants down, don’t try to drag other people down with you,” she continued. “You understand? Don’t do that. Because if you, you know, there are times when, yeah. you got to suck it up because you stepped in doo.”

Meghan McCain then interjected and shared that she was defending her co-host over the “fake tweet” and letting people know it was a “load of crap.”

“Last night I was talking to my husband and he told me there was this fake tweet that we knew was fake and a tweet about you, and I get so angry because obviously it’s fake and it’s a load of crap,” McCain explained. “And also, this is not about being a conservative, okay? This is about you being a racist, and that’s what happened, and we — I am a have a viciferous defender of the first amendment and free speech. This is not about speech, you can say anything you want, but we work for a corporation, and there are values to which we adhere in this corporation and if you are no longer a part of that, you are gone. But dragging you and you into this, we didn’t do anything warranted.”

“But it’s easy to do because easy red meat,” Goldberg responded. “But the bottom line is simply this. I didn’t fake my shirt. Someone else faked my shirt, but that’s your tweet. That tweet came from you. So that’s yours. You did this to yourself.”
