President Donald Trump’s weekly approval rating is tied with its highest level ever, despite a flurry of attacks from Democrats and the media on the administration’s immigration policy.

According to a new Gallup poll, Trump’s approval rating rose to 45 percent, which ties the previous high in January 2017.

The Trump administration has been hammered for the past week over its zero-tolerance policy of separating children from their parents when they cross the border illegally, but the criticism clearly hasn’t affected the public’s opinion of how the president is handling things. Trump is also going quite well when compared with previous administrations. According to Business Insider’s Allan Smith, President Barack Obama was at 45 percent approval and President Bill Clinton was at 44 percent around the same point in their presidencies.
