The Daily Show host Trevor Noah thinks America is not a compassionate place as he went after Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristjen Nielsen’s comments that America is “a country of compassion,” calling those comments “bulls**t.”

After showing Nielsen’s comments from a press briefing Monday in which she stated, “We are a country of compassion. We are a country of heart,” Noah made his opinion on the matter clear.

“Ok, no I’m sorry, that’s some bulls**t, right?” Noah said. “That, that’s just some bulls**t,” Noah repeated.

“We’re a country of compassion, we’re a country of heart? You can’t just do a fatality on someone and call it friendship, that’s not how it works,” Noah continued.

The late-night comedian went on to say that “it’s pretty ballsy to blame Congress” for problems at the border, and went on to make an anecdotal joke about classical music.
