Planned Parenthood sent an email Tuesday complaining about the Supreme Court’s decision to block a law requiring pregnancy centers to provide information about state-funded abortions.

“The Supreme Court just sided with the anti-abortion ideologues who run fake women’s health centers,” Planned Parenthood Executive Vice President Dawn Laguens wrote in the email.

The court’s decision “means more women will be lied to, shamed, and misled about their options,” she continued.

The statements come after the U.S. Supreme Court found Tuesday that a California law requiring pro-life crisis pregnancy centers to provide abortion information violates the First Amendment. The ruling does not strike down California’s Reproductive FACT Act, but puts a temporary stay on the law. (RELATED: Supremes Say California Law Making Pro-Life Groups Promote Abortion Is Probably Unconstitutional)

Planned Parenthood has long maintained that a number of women’s health centers across the U.S. are actually crisis pregnancy centers. The abortion group alleges that women seeking to abort come to the clinics and are persuaded to continue their pregnancies when they would not have done so otherwise.

In addition to wholeheartedly rejecting the court’s Tuesday decision, the abortion giant ended its email by asking for money so the group can fight the ruling to its best ability. The money will be used to “make sure Planned Parenthood health centers can continue helping patients — for them, for you, for everyone impacted by the extreme anti-reproductive health agenda.”

There are 2,750 pregnancy centers in the U.S., 200 of which are in California.
