Alec Baldwin used the heroic efforts on display in the Thailand soccer team cave rescue to take a swipe at those who work in the “halls of the U.S. government.”

“More humanity on display in a cave in Thailand than in all the halls of the US Government,” the 60-year-old actor wrote Monday in a post he shared on Instagram, along with a screenshot of his tweet. (RELATED: Alec Baldwin Says He Can Beat Trump in 2020)

The “Saturday Night Live” star has spent the last year and a half attacking President Donald Trump and his administration, though this time he does not specifically name the president.

In May, he said during an interview on “The Daniel Baldwin Show” that he could win if he ran against Trump in 2020.

“It would be the most exciting election we have had in ages — exciting. It’s an exciting idea. But the thing is, you lose your life. I have got little kids. My wife would never go for it,” Baldwin shared when asked if he thought he could win if he ran against Trump.

“Oh, absolutely, positively, I could beat [Trump] without a doubt in my mind,” he added. “You know, I am somebody who … you think I want the United States to lay down and die and not have a strong defense? That’s preposterous. I am not going to come in there and say we have to walk around with our hand tied behind our back. The world is too dangerous for that.”

In another interview in March, the “30 Rock” star said he and his wife have vowed to “give it everything we have” to help Democrats win the midterms and “get rid of” President Trump.

“If things don’t go in the right direction for the midterms, … I could go out on the street, stand on any corner and tap 10 people on the shoulder. And all 10 of them, in all likelihood, would be more qualified — ethically, morally, intellectually and spiritually — than Trump,” the actor shared. “I’ll vote for Mitt Romney. I don’t care. Anybody over this guy. It doesn’t matter. We have to get rid of him.”

“My wife and I agreed that we’re gonna give it everything we have,” he added. “And then if, God forbid, he wins again in 2020, I’m wondering can I host a game show in Spain.”
