President Donald Trump congratulated the Navy SEALs of Thailand for successfully extricating 12 Thai boys and their soccer coach from a deep cave in the northern part of the country Tuesday.

The story of the boys and their coach captured the attention of the world after they somehow found themselves nearly 2.5 miles inside of a deep cave network quickly filling with rainwater. A volunteer Thai diver was killed trying to assist the boys who were trapped on a ledge that was quickly filling with water.
The boys were trapped inside the cave network nearly two weeks ago with their coach while exploring. Officials rushed to get the boys and coach out of the cave as soon as possible because the water was rising so quickly.
