A progressive activism group is hosting vigils nationwide Wednesday at sundown in response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, among other reasons.

“From attacks on the rule of law to conflicts of interest, ethics violations and flagrant abuse of government offices for personal gain, the corruption of the American government by the President, his associates and many in his party has reached a new, profound low,” Confront Corruption, the group hosting the vigils, states on its website.

Confront Corruption has already scheduled about 90 vigils.

There will be a vigil outside Virginia Republican Rep. Dave Brat’s congressional office, a rally for impeachment at the University of Michigan, a march against Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh in Boston, as well as a vigil against Trump — whom the groups calls the “beast” — in Indianapolis. (RELATED: Protests Already Planned For Trump’s SCOTUS Nominee)

“From attacks on the Russia investigation to ethics scandals in the highest offices in the land, we must reject attempts to shield corruption from political consequences, public scrutiny, and legal accountability,” the group wrote on its website.

“We confront corruption in this moment not to restore old status quos that failed us before now, but to demand a new democracy that truly reflects, responds to, and represents all Americans,” Confront Corruption stated.
