Democratic Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren claimed people are working up to four jobs just to survive on Thursday.
During an MSNBC interview, Warren dismissed reports that the economy is doing quite well under the Trump administration, claiming that people are working up to four jobs to live.
Warren’s claim echoed Democratic New York congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who asserted in a PBS interview last week that unemployment is low because people are working two jobs. (RELATED: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Gets Fact-Checked On Unemployment Claims)
Not to be outdone by the young socialist, Warren said people are actually working “two, three, or four jobs to try to pay the rent and keep food on the table.”
PolitiFact knocked Ocasio-Cortez for her claim, noting that only one in 20 Americans actually works more than one job and that, on average, Americans are not working more today than they have in the past.
