Responding to recent reports that Google executives attempted to influence the 2016 election in favor of Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump Jr. took a victory lap — and a few potshots at Clinton — on Monday.

“Imagine devoting your entire life to getting elected POTUS, having the full backing of the world’s most powerful search engine, and STILL losing to a first-time candidate,” Trump Jr. tweeted. “That’s how much the country wanted to MAGA (and how bad of a candidate she was!”

The president’s son linked to a story about a recently uncovered email chain involving senior Google executives that revealed their efforts to maximize Hispanic voter turnout during the 2016 election, assuming they would overwhelmingly vote for Clinton.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson covered the scandal on his Monday night show. (RELATED: TUCKER EXPOSES GOOGLE EXECUTIVE’S BIAS TO HELP HILLARY CLINTON WIN IN 2016)

“She [Eliana Murillo, head of the multicultural marketing department for Google] notes Latinos voted in record-breaking numbers especially in states like Florida, Nevada and Arizona — the last of which she describes as ‘a key state for us,'” Carlson said. “She brags that the company used its power to ensure that millions of people saw certain hashtags and social media impressions with the goal of influencing their behavior during the election.”

In spite of those efforts, 29 percent of Hispanics voted for Trump.
