Fox News host Sean Hannity warned President Trump on his show Monday night that the Democrats want him to fire Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
Hannity was discussing the recent reports on Rosenstein with Fox News contributor Sara Carter and Fox News legal and political analyst Gregg Jarrett.
“I have never more been certain in my life that they want the president to fire Rosenstein and if he would’ve done it on Friday, they would’ve called it – compared it to the Saturday night massacre, call it a Friday night massacre. They want it so bad, they can taste it. Is he conflicted? Yes. Are there major problems? Yes. The president shouldn’t have to do this. That’s Jeff Sessions, that’s his department. Where is he again?” Hannity said.
Rosenstein was expecting to be fired after a report that he discussed secretly recording the president and trying to convince the cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove him from office.(RELATED: Rosenstein Is Expecting To Be Fired)
“Look the allegations in The New York Times are very serious. Whether or not there are people in the administration that were willing to invoke the 25th amendment to remove the president or wiretapped the president at one point in time, the president needs to investigate this, whether inspector general investigates it.”
