President Donald Trump addressed the sexual assault allegations against Brett Kavanaugh in a press conference in New York on Wednesday. In one exchange, Trump was interrupted by CNN’s Jim Acosta and interjected, “Excuse me.”

Acosta asked about the allegations against Kavanaugh, wondering if Trump has been influenced “because of the many allegations that you had made against you?”

Trump explained why he has come out in support of Kavanaugh. “Whether it was a man or a woman, 30 years ago, 36 years ago, in fact they don’t even know how many years ago because nobody knows what the time is. That’s a long time,” Trump said.

Acosta asked if accusers might be “reluctant to come forward.” Trump was answering when Acosta began to speak more. Trump eventually fired back, “Excuse me, excuse me.”

Trump continued with his answer, saying the accusers have been given a chance to speak.

“I don’t think people are reluctant to come forward. They are going to have a chance to speak. They have a major chance to speak, and it will be tomorrow, I assume. The Republican senators have delayed this for weeks now. They are giving the women a major chance to speak. It’s possible I will hear that and I will say hey, I am changing my mind. That is possible.”
