Senate Judiciary Committee hearings aren’t always the most exciting events of our lifetimes. Lawmakers can drone on and on. Speeches can be long and boring.

But Thursday’s hearing in which Dr. Christine Blasey Ford said she was sexually assaulted by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh should have been enough to keep a watcher away from Zzzzz’s.

There were tears and tension, especially between Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and ranking Democrat Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.). The pair argued over details. Grassley scolded Feinstein for raising certain issues in her opening statement.

Unfortunately for this man, he was sitting in just the right sliver of a spot to be caught dozing off on video by Dave Savage of @kingsavagemedia.

“Everyone needs some sleep,” remarked Savage.

Can someone give this guy a pillow?
