The ratings for the return of “Last Man Standing” are in, and they’re massive.

“Last Man Standing” debuted its seventh season on Friday night and brought in a 1.8 rating among adults aged 18-49, totaling slightly more than eight million viewers. That’s higher than its final season on ABC, which averaged a 1.2 and brought in 6.41 million viewers on same day ratings, according to The Hollywood Reporter. ABC shocked “Last Man Standing” viewers after it abruptly decided to cancel the hit series in March of last year. Lead actor Tim Allen tweeted out his disappointment, and with the assistance of many of its fans, FOX agreed to take it on.

“Last Man Standing” is one of several right-leaning shows that has done spectacularly in the ratings. “Roseanne,” which featured a pro-Trump main character, also raked in huge ratings in its reboot after being off air for nearly 20 years.
