Seattle Seahawks receiver Doug Baldwin recently shared an incredible story about the generosity of former teammate Marshawn Lynch.

ESPN’s Brady Henderson tweeted out the following Tuesday afternoon:

Doug Baldwin, talking about how Marshawn Lynch was universally “beloved” in Seattle’s locker room, told a story about a young WR who told Lynch he liked his backpack. Lynch took it off, emptied it out and gave it to him on the spot. Asked which WR it was, Baldwin said it was him.

I can’t ever get enough of stories like this one. It takes a dude with a big heart to just handover his own items to a rookie teammate.

Of course, we really shouldn’t be too surprised when Lynch does something impressive for another person. He is known for participating in charity events, and hosting cookouts for his old community back in Oakland. (RELATED: Remember NFL Star Marshawn Lynch? The Oakland Raiders star just comes across as one of the nicest guys in all of pro sports. Yes, he’s clearly intimidating as hell on the field, but he’s also made it known that he looks out for other people. I’d way rather have a guy like that on my team than somebody who is the exact opposite. Actions always speak louder than words.

I don’t know how many more years Lynch has left in the tank. He’s been in the league for more than a decade, which is a lot of time for a running back.

All I do know for sure is that his legacy will be remembered for a long time after he hangs up his cleats.
