Derrick Rose might officially be back after dropping 50 points Wednesday night.
Rose, who is now on the Minnesota Timberwolves, has struggled mightily with injuries since winning the MVP award in 2011. He essentially became a shell of his former self and was an afterthought in the league.
He jumped right back onto the scene against the Utah Jazz. He was slicing and dicing like it was a decade ago as he hit the half century mark. (RELATED: Derrick Rose Might Retire From The NBA)

The former Chicago Bulls star was justifiably emotional as he talked after the game.

There’s nothing we love more in sports than a great comeback story. We live for them. Nobody crashed further downward than Rose did. Many thought he was going to become one of the greatest to ever play the game after his early years with the Bulls.
Then, he struggled with injury after injury, got shipped all over the league and was pretty much considered washed up. Judging from the highlights above, I’d say that was a foolish take on every level.

I have no idea how much Rose has left in the tank. Maybe this was it for him. One last gunfight before hanging it up and squeezing out every last drop. Only time will tell, but I’m happy to see him rise up in the face of all his problems. It’s truly inspiring.
