Alabama running back Damien Harris is back at practice after a concussion scare and looks set to start in the Iron Bowl on Saturday.

According to Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban, Harris cleared concussion protocol and should be okay for Saturday’s rivalry game against Auburn. (RELATED: Oddsmakers Reveal How Much Alabama Would Be Favored Against Michigan, And It’s Not Even Close)

Harris suffered a “mild concussion,” near the end of a 73-yard run in the fourth quarter of the Crimson Tide’s 50–17 win over The Citadel last Saturday.

The senior back is one of Alabama’s all-time leading rushers and will make his final start in Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday.

Harris has rushed for 678 yards this season and needs just over 300 yards to become the First Crimson Tide player to ever rush for 1,000 yards in three straight seasons.

While Alabama has plenty of other terrific running backs, Harris has been the Crimson Tide’s most reliable rusher over the past three seasons, and his return to full strength is huge.
