Dino Babers won’t be leaving Syracuse’s football team anytime soon after signing a new deal.

CollegeFootballTalk reported the following:

Dino Babers has inked a contract extension that will keep him at Syracuse “well into the future.”

As a private school, Syracuse is not obligated to share the terms of the contract — or, more importantly, the buyout.

Babers made $2.4 million in 2018 according to the USA Today coaching salary database, which ranked 55th nationally.

This is a genius idea for the people running the show at Syracuse. Babers has somehow managed to turn the Orange into a competitive football team.

Hell, they damn near took down Clemson early in the season. I was watching that game as I sucked down some Mountain Dew (RIP) and ate Taco Bell. I couldn’t believe Syracuse was hanging with and beating the Tigers at points in that game. (RELATED: The College Football Playoff Teams Have Been Announced. Some Fans Will Be Enraged)

Babers is a man who just goes out and wins. Right now, the fruit is ripe for picking in the ACC. FSU is down and pretty much only Clemson is capable of controlling the show. As I mentioned above, we know Babers can hang with them.

I can’t state enough just how much I love this extension.
