Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney got himself a nice bonus after beating Alabama in the college football national championship Monday night.

The two-time national champion earned himself a bonus of $250,000 for the big win. His total bonuses on the year now total $875,000.

Not a bad way to ring in 2019. Cashing a massive check by rolling Alabama is about as good as it gets when it comes to college football. (RELATED: Clemson Rocks Notre Dame To Advance To The Title Game. The Highlights Are Insane)

All that bonus money is on top of his already massive $6 million salary the Tigers are paying Swinney.

Now, his agent needs to negotiate even bigger bonus packages going forward. Swinney has brought two national championships to Clemson.

He has all the leverage in the world at this point. Getting $875,000 in bonus money is a ton without a doubt, but that number could easily get pushed north of a million with some new negotiating.

Life sure is good right now for Dabo Swinney, and he’s earned every single bit of it.
