Khabib Nurmagomedov doesn’t seem to think Conor McGregor has done anything to deserve a rematch.

The Russian-born fighter whipped McGregor at UFC 229, and then all hell broke loose in what was an incredibly entertaining event. (SLIDESHOW: These Are The Greatest Ronda Rousey Photos On The Internet)

Will there likely be a rematch? Khabib certainly doesn’t sound interested. “We’ll see. He didn’t deserve this. Rematch for what?” the UFC star told the media in Australia when discussing a potential second bout with McGregor in a video posted by TMZ Wednesday night(SLIDESHOW: These UFC Women Really Hate Wearing Clothes)

Khabib’s comments don’t seem to the same as what we’ve heard from UFC President Dana White, who said a rematch in 2019 was likely. (SLIDESHOW: These Are The Sexiest Paige VanZant Photos On The Internet)

If I had to guess, this is nothing more than posturing and trash-talking on behalf of Khabib. Nothing will piss off McGregor more than people claiming he doesn’t “deserve” to have a rematch.

The Irish-born fighter is the face of the entire league. Of course he deserves a rematch.

Trust me, I’d be betting on a rematch almost certainly to happen if I were offered odds. I wouldn’t even hesitate. Nothing is guaranteed to bring in more money in the fight game than a rematch between stars.

It’s money in the bank. This rematch is going to happen!
