Former first lady Michelle Obama made multiple claims in a campaign video for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, slamming President Donald Trump.
The video is roughly 24 minutes long and touches on subjects such as the coronavirus pandemic, protests, racism and wildfires. A number of the remarks she made require context to be accurately understood, however.
“When wildfires raged in the west he said nothing for weeks.”
“Seven months later, and he still won’t wear a mask consistently and encourage others to do the same.”
“[Joe Biden] quit his job at a lucrative law firm to serve as a public defender protecting the rights of those who couldn’t defend themselves.”
“They’re pinning it all on what’s been an overwhelmingly peaceful movement for racial solidarity, it’s true, research backs it up. Only a tiny fraction of demonstrations had any violence at all.”
