The Students for Life of America (SFLA) said a teenage canvasser with the group was allegedly attacked on Sunday while door-knocking to get support for a pro-life bill in Kansas.

Grace Hartsock was walking neighborhoods near Overland Park, Kansas, talking to residents about the Kansas Value Them Both pro-life amendment when a woman allegedly became angry about Hartsock’s pro-life views and attacked the teen, the organization reported.

One woman at the home where the alleged attack took place told Hartsock that the SFLAction volunteers wouldn’t want to “talk to [them]” a separate female began “yelling and cursing” at Hartsock from inside the residence, according to SFLA’s report.

The angry woman allegedly ran out of the home after Hartsock and began chasing her and yelling expletives at the teenage volunteer, the organization reported.

The SFLA report said the angry woman allegedly “shoved Hartsock in the chest with both hands and began hitting her in the head with closed fists.” When Hartsock ran down the driveway, the angry woman allegedly yelled: “I hope you get raped,” and “I hope you get run over by a car.”

“It’s unfathomable that the pro-choice movement claims to be ‘pro-woman’ and yet attacks women who don’t agree with their narrative,” Hartsock said in SFLA’s report. “It’s not surprising to me that a person who advocates for violence in the womb wouldn’t hesitate to attack a pro-life woman like myself.”

Despite the alleged attack, which has been reported to Leewood Police Department, Hartsock is already back to canvassing for the organization, according to SFLA. (RELATED: Protesters Vandalize, Firebomb Pro-Life Centers In Weekend Of Violence Following Dobbs Decision)

Students for Life Action told the Daily Caller on Tuesday that attacks, like the alleged attack on Ms. Hartsock, are becoming commonplace for pro-life supporters.

“Unfortunately, the pro-life movement is seeing an influx of hostility and violence from the abortion lobby. Whether that be firebombing pregnancy resource centers, threatening pro-lifers both virtually and in-person, defaming our churches, or attempting to assassinate SCOTUS justices, abortion supporters are clearly demonstrating that they accept violence both inside and outside of the womb,” SFLA stated.

The organization told the Daily Caller that in addition to looking at other security measures for the future, in the time being, SFLA contacted all of its volunteers after Hartsock’s alleged attack and “reiterat[ed] the importance of being in teams” and reminded their canvassers “to never go where they might be uncomfortable or alone.”

SFLA said that although there are residents “who take a different view,” its volunteers “spoke to countless residents who were in support of common-sense abortion restrictions in Kansas.” Hartsock was among other SFLAction volunteers who knocked on over 1,700 doors on Sunday to bring awareness to their pro-life initiative, the organization reported.
