“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg told climate protesters to leave the studio Monday as they heckled Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.

A group of climate protesters heckled the senator as he joined the panel Monday to discuss contemporary political issues. Goldberg came to Cruz’s defense as the protesters chanted about the climate during Cruz’s attempt to answer Sara Haines’ question on inflation and abortion.

“Vote for climate now! Vote for climate now! Vote for climate now!” the protesters seemed to be chanting. Cruz ignored them and continued answering Haines’ question, describing the consequences of President Joe Biden and the Democrats’ government spending.

“We do cover climate here, guys,” co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin chimed in.

“Excuse me, ladies, ladies, excuse me,” Goldberg said. “Let us do our job. We hear what you have to say, but you gotta go. Gotta go, you gotta let us do our job. You gotta let us do our job.”

The segment then reportedly cut to a commercial after a protester screamed, “F*ck you, Ted Cruz.”

Co-host Sunny Hostin then said the protesters accused them of not covering climate change and added that the panel does in fact cover the issue frequently. Co-host Ana Navarro apologized to the senator that the incident occurred.

The protesters appeared to be escorted out of the room as the audience remained silent throughout the remainder of the segment.
