Judy Coughlin, wife of New York Giants Head Coach Tom Coughlin, died Tuesday at the age of 77.

Judy passed away from a rare brain disease, according to People. “Judy was a remarkable woman in every way. She lived a life filled with love and unselfishly gave her heart and soul to others,” Tom said in a statement posted to Twitter.

Judy was diagnosed with progessive supranuclear palsy in 2020, according to People. The incurable brain disease impairs a patient’s capacity to talk, think and control bodily movements.

“Our hearts are broken, but we know she is free from suffering and at peace with our Lord,” the long-time Giants coach concluded in his statement.

Tom coached the Giants from 2004 to 2015. In that time, he brought the team to two Super Bowl wins in 2007 and 2011, respectively. The high school sweethearts got married in 1967 and have four children together. (RELATED: Sports Betters Must Have Freaked Out At NY Giant Saquon Barkley’s Last-Second Decision)
