A total of 10 red cards were dished out in Argentina’s Champions Trophy final by World Cup referee Facundo Tello on Nov. 6 after Racing Club midfielder Carlos Alcaraz scored a game-winning goal and then caused chaos with his celebration in front of Boca Juniors fans.

In the final minutes of extra time, both clubs were tied 1-1, with Alcaraz landing a header into the corner of the net to get the victory for Racing.

While celebrating, Alcaraz would extend his antics in front of Boca’s fans, which angered the players of the team. Video shows them snatching Alcaraz’s ear and slinging a ball at him.

Tello, who will also be officiating at this year’s World Cup in Qatar, kicked Alcaraz out of the game and gave out five red cards to Boca players after the near-brawl.

In the end, seven red cards were dished out to Boca players, while Racing saw three, marking a total of 10 red cards in total, according to ESPN.

Just another day in the world of international soccer.

You could tell it was about to happen, the anticipation was building up when you saw Boca Juniors players starting to get physical. Both the ear snatch and ball throw were grounds for a fight to break out. The world of soccer has given us fights, and outright riots in the past. Racing and Boca need to step it up as far as I’m concerned — at least no one threw a molotov cocktail, which has actually happened during a game by the way.

Soccer fans, man. You gotta love ’em.
