Ivanka Trump announced Tuesday she would no longer be involved in politics for the 2024 election, but that she loves her father, Donald Trump, “very much.”

“I love my father very much. This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family,” Ivanka Trump said in a statement on Instagram. “I do not plan to be involved in politics.”

Donald Trump officially announced his third consecutive presidential bid Tuesday night at Mar-a-Lago, highlighting his administration’s achievements and saying that the U.S. needs “a truly great leader now.” (RELATED: Trump Announces 2024 Presidential Run)

Several of Donald Trump‘s children — including Ivanka, Tiffany and Donald Jr. — were not present at the former president’s announcement, according to the outlet. Ivanka’s husband, Jared Kushner, and Donald Jr.’s girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle, were both in attendance.

“While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena. I am grateful to have had the honor of serving the American people and will always be proud of many of our administration’s accomplishments,” Ivanka Trump continued.

Ivanka served as her father’s senior adviser while he was in the White House, but has since moved to Miami with her husband to raise her children.

She told Fox News in an interview that she’s “extremely close” with her father, but that she’s currently enjoying “one of the greatest times” of her life with her three young children in Florida.

“I’ve had many roles over the years but that of daughter is one of the most elemental and consequential. I am loving this time with my kids, loving life in Miami and the freedom and privacy with having returned to the private sector. This has been one of the greatest times of my life,” she said, adding that “time is fleeting, and every parent will tell you it really does go by so quickly.”

“We’re happy where we are right now, and we will continue to support my father — as his kids,” Ivanka Trump added, maintaining that she “never intended to go into politics” and is proud of what she accomplished.
