Celebrity Trainer Eric Fleishman Dead At 53

Physical trainer to the stars Eric Fleishman died unexpectedly at the age of 53 on Thanksgiving day.

Fleishman died Thursday morning in his Glendale, California, home. He was best known as “Eric The Trainer” to those with whom he worked closely, including Kirstie Alley, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Ethan Suplee and Jason Priestley, according to TMZ Sports. He also worked with Def Leppard, Journey, Fall Out Boy and Nickelback. Many of his celebrity clients considered him a friend, according to TMZ.

“Eric touched many lives for the better. He was a beacon of light, hope, and love,” according to a message posted to Fleishman’s official Instagram account. His cause of death has not been made public.

His family encouraged his fans, friends, and followers to contribute to his memorial by sharing fond memories of the celebrity trainer. “Eric’s family welcomes the community to join them in celebrating his life by sharing experiences, memories, and tributes to Celebrate.Erics.Life@gmail.com,” they wrote on Instagram.

“Please send photos, videos, music, and stories as to how Eric impacted your life. Our hope is to assemble these contributions for a Celebration of Life ceremony in the near term. The date and time of this event will be forthcoming shortly,” the family added.

Fleishman worked as a fitness trainer for over three decades and dedicated his life to bettering the health and wellness of his clients. In addition to catering to celebrities, Fleishman demonstrated his passion for fitness and dedication to his community by working very closely with local law enforcement officers.

He trained several members of the Los Angeles Police Department, L.A. sheriff’s deputies, numerous SWAT teams across the county and members of the California Highway Patrol, according to TMZ.(RELATED: REPORT: ‘Power Rangers’ Star Dead At 49)

The famous trainer also showed compassion amid the COVID lockdowns by gathering a slew of his famous friends and hosting a benefit concert to raise money for the Feeding America charity. The event raised thousands of dollars to help those in need, according to TMZ.

Fleishman’s family concluded their social media message with an emotional note. “This loss is devastating, and we appreciate your thoughts and prayers,” they wrote.

Fleishman is survived by his wife, Alysia, and son, Henry.
