Apple TV+ dropped the trailer for “Hello Tomorrow!” on Thursday, and it looks like weird, trippy unadulterated escapism.

Starring Emmy winner Billy Crudup as deeply charismatic salesman Jack Billings, “Hello Tomorrow!” invites the audience into a 1960s-inspired futuristic world where it’s possible to buy timeshares on the moon, according to the trailer. Crudup also serves as executive producer of the show, according to Deadline.

Joined by the likes of Hank Azazria (“The Simpsons”), Matthew Maher (“Gone Baby Gone”), Alison Pill (“The Newsroom”), Jacki Weaver (“Yellowstone”) and more, this series looks like the type of dystopian escapism everyone can get behind.

Crudup appears to play everyone’s least favorite type of human: a salesman who is almost certainly some type of scam artist, judging by the details revealed in the lengthy trailer. Still, the special effects make the (hopefully not) predictable storyline insanely appealing, helped enormously by the clearly beautiful set design and art direction. Honestly, I’m just thrilled that television is finally moving away from historical or politically-inspired narratives. The world has been screaming for real escapism for a while, and up until now, it’s like “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan was the only one who got the memo.

The first episode of “Hello Tomorrow!” premieres on Feb. 17. Watch the trailer here:
