The liberal media assisted President Joe Biden by omitting his remark about Russian President Vladimir Putin “losing in Iraq.”

The president confused the wars in Iraq and Ukraine in response to a question about the Wagner Group’s attempted coup that took place on the weekend of June 24. Some outlets erased his gaffe when citing the response, making it seem as if the 80-year-old president did not make the mistake.

“It’s hard to tell, but he is clearly losing the war in Iraq,” Biden said, referencing Ukraine. “He’s losing the war at home and he has become a bit of a pariah around the world.”

NBC News omitted the slip up by writing, “Speaking to reporters outside the White House, Biden was asked by NBC News whether Putin was weakened by the recent situation. ‘Yes,’ he said, adding that Putin has ‘become a pariah around the world.'”

USA Today’s coverage did not mention the gaffe either, only adding the president’s remark about Putin “losing the war at home.”

“He’s losing the war at home.  And he has become a bit of a pariah around the world,” USA Today quoted. “And it’s not just NATO. It’s not just the European Union.”

Neither outlet appeared to write a separate story regarding the president’s Iraq comment. (RELATED: Biden Declares Putin ‘Cannot Remain In Power,’ White House Quickly Walks It Back)

Reuters and Bloomberg left out the comments in their coverage about the remark, but wrote separate pieces about the “Iraq” comment. Reuters published the piece, “Biden says hard to tell if Putin has been weakened by recent events” and posted another article nearly 40 minutes later titled, “In verbal slip, Biden says Putin losing the war in ‘Iraq.'”

Bloomberg White House reporter Jenny Leonard quoted the president without the Iraq quote.

Bloomberg wrote about the gaffe in a piece titled, “Joe Biden Keeps Confusing Ukraine and Iraq.” The article was written by Leonard and two other writers.
