Miami police on Tuesday arrested a mother who allegedly used a parody website to try and hire a hitman to kill her three-year-old son.

Jazmin Paez, 18, was arrested on charges of soliciting murder and unlawful use of a communications device after trying to hire a hitman off the parody website “rentahitman.com” to kill her toddler within a week of the request, according to arrest documents obtained by NBC6. The website owner, Robert Innes, reportedly flagged Paez’s alleged request and called the Miami-Dade Police Department multiple times to report the situation.

Miami-Dade kept referring his calls to CrimeStoppers, Innes told NBC6. When he did, CrimeStoppers allegedly said they would send Innes a cease and desist letter. “They were not interested. They sent me an email saying if I contacted one more time they were going to send a cease and desist letter,” Innes told the outlet.

Innes said he receives hundreds of similar solicitations on the site everyday, but most of them are fake. It was the specificity of Paez’s alleged request that rang alarm bells for Innes, according to NBC6. The mother reportedly sent her child’s exact locations, along with photographs of him.

Paez allegedly told undercover detectives posing as hitmen that she would pay $3,000 for her son’s murder, according to the New York Post. (RELATED: Jury Convicts Mother Of Starving Her Son To Death With Diet)

Police subsequently arrested Paez. Her bond was set at $15,000 and she was ordered to stay away from her son, who is now safe with extended family, NBC6 reported. Paez is detained in the Miami-Dade jail, according to the New York Post.
