A group of angry customers allegedly beat a teenage host at Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen Sunday after a disagreement over seating arrangements.

The dispute occurred when the victim, 17-year-old Omarion Ford, told a family of eight they would have to wait an hour for a table, according to Action News 5. The family had reportedly suggested they split-up and sit at separate tables, to which they were seated. Shortly after, they reportedly became unhappy with the arrangement and left.

The family returned a few minutes later and were seated together due to another table’s cancellation. A woman in the group allegedly confronted Ford about why they had not been seated there earlier, sparking the dispute, according to the outlet. (RELATED: Elderly NYC Cab Driver Beaten By Group Of 5)

A man in the group allegedly punched Ford in the face, per the outlet. Ford reportedly said he responded in self-defense, and then the entire family allegedly began attacking him.

Ford had to be treated by paramedics and was taken to the hospital, according to Action News 5.

Brittany, Carol, Darius and Kaitlin Brantley were arrested and charged with aggravated assault Friday in connection to the incident, according to WSMV.

Video of the aftermath shows multiple people and Cheddar’s employees attempting to assist Ford.

“We are shocked and saddened by this senseless act of violence against our team member,” the Cheddar’s owner said in a statement, according to Action News 5. “Violence has no place in our restaurant and we are cooperating fully with the police investigation.”
