Several tennis players competing at the U.S. Open have become ill, throwing the tournament into chaos as games are delayed or cut well short.
Up-and-coming American tennis star, Christopher Eubanks, was forced to take an emergency bathroom break mid-game at the U.S. Open in New York City on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old American was down a set to Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi when the sweats started to kick in. He did his best to finish the game he was currently in before booking it to the bathroom to do some business.

It was clear from his body language that the player was experiencing some serious discomfort. He spoke to the chair umpire to confirm the amount of time he was allowed to be off the court, according to the Daily Mail.
“If I take a penalty for every point this game, plus a bathroom break, how much time is that? Like just sacrifice this next game to go to the bathroom,” Eubanks asked the umpire, intent on conceding the game and making the set score 5-6.
The American successfully returned to the court with enough energy to force the set into a tiebreak. Unfortunately, Eubanks lost the tiebreak, losing the set, ultimately flushing his U.S. Open dreams down the drain.

Jabeur was successful in conquering her ailments. The Tunisian beat Camila Osorio in a 7-5 7-6 (7-4) win that left her gasping for air, according to CNN.
Thiem, on the other hand, failed to finish his match altogether. What was supposed to mark his return to the highest flight of professional tennis concluded with the Austrian conceding to the American, Ben Shelton, shortly after the first set.
