Some absolute psycho within the home development industry is trying to normalize $100,000 tiny homes, according to a report published Wednesday.

Home construction company Lennar is selling a 350-square-foot tiny home in San Antonio for a starting price of $130,000, the New York Post reported. “This two-story home has a smart layout that offers everything you need to live in comfort,” the company claims on its website, as if their copywriter has never met a real human before.

Is this, or is this not, the most psychotic thing you’ve ever heard? Paying $100,000 or more to live in 350 square feet … you can shove that idea where the sun don’t shine. (RELATED: Dear Kay: I Just Saw The Banking News. Are We Screwed?)

I don’t know who came up with this idea, but it is the single greediest, possibly the most evil action I’ve seen since someone tried to convince me that buying new clothes and tech was “good for the kids in sweatshops because it gives them a job.”

The U.S. housing market is already in a state of collapse. Multiple sources have contacted me in the last six months to say they were asked to sign affidavits when buying homes, acknowledging that they are overpaying for the property (along with a 7%+ mortgage). Most people who’ve bought said homes in the last two years will not be able to afford them within the next 10.

What we’re going to experience in the coming years will make 2008 look like a party. It’s going to be so bad, that one financial expert joked about using cyanide to avoid it. And all of it is because of unadulterated greed.

I would be fine living in a tiny home, but I’d rather eat my own hair than pay these prices. I’ve already asked my boyfriend if we can just buy a double wide. It’s a way better short-term savings option than throwing money away at landlords and rental companies.

Also, you can buy acreage with a pre-existing fixer-upper for not much more than $100,000 in many parts of the U.S., but the Millennial and Gen X generations of home purchasers would rather get into heinous amounts of debt for an overpriced McMansion to impress their friends than live a financially sustainable life.

Just remember: the elites want you to think that you’re a loser if you don’t have nice stuff. The truth is you’re a loser if you fall for their manipulation. You don’t need cool things, you need a family, you need a community, and you need to make sure you’re mitigating every crisis they’re throwing at you.

Once they’re done coming for your food and medical care, they’ll be coming for your homes next, in my opinion. And the last thing I want to see is half of America ending up in government-run housing camps because they forced our housing market into the dirt by telling us tiny homes are worth $100,000.
