Record labels Geffen and UMe announced Tuesday that Nirvana’s “In Utero” album will be rereleased in celebration of its 30th anniversary.
The 1993 album debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 charts as a 12-track album, and was the last album of original material released by the band before singer Kurt Cobain died by suicide in 1994, according to People. The new album will be released in several different formats, including an 8-LP super deluxe box set and a 5-CD super deluxe box set.

The super deluxe versions of the rereleased album will feature previously unseen photographs and other original materials from the band. The super deluxe albums will have 72 tracks in total, including 53 comprised of footage from two live concerts — Live in Los Angeles (1993) and Live in Seattle (1994), the band’s last hometown performance.
The album will also feature six other live tracks performed during the band’s tour stops in Rome, Italy; Springfield, Massachusetts and New York, according to People. (RELATED: Man Sues Nirvana For Album Cover, Alleging ‘Child Pornography’)
Just 3,000 physical super deluxe versions of Nirvana’s “In Utero: 30th Anniversary” will be released worldwide, the outlet reported. This version will be sold on 180-gram vinyl and will feature an acrylic panel of the angel on the album cover, along with a 20-page fanzine, two concert ticket stubs, an LA concert lithograph, three concert flyers, an all-access tour badge, backstage passes and a recreation of the band’s Angel mobile.
