Police in Grand Rapids, Michigan, were called by several people Monday to report a series of bodies found in the middle of the street.

Two bodies were found in a four-block radius, bloodied and lifeless, in the Burton Heights and Garfield Park neighborhoods of the city, according to WZZM13. One of the victims was a younger male, the other was a younger female. It’s believed the murders happened at around 11:30 a.m., so it is presumed that there were witnesses to whatever happened. But thus far, no one has come forward.

“Tragically, we have two bloody bodies in the street and we don’t have an explanation,” Grand Rapids police department Chief Eric Winstrom told the outlet. “It appears to be very targeted. Very personal in nature, and I don’t believe that anyone has anything to be fearful of.”

Police are going door-to-door to find out information from neighbors, and to uncover any security or surveillance video that might have caught the brutal murders on camera. Another murder was reported just a few doors down from where one of the victims was found.

“It really is one of those things that from the beginning it was a mystery,” Winstrom continued, noting that he believes the third murder was connected to the first two. (RELATED: Landlord Brutally Murders Couple Over Tenant Dispute Resulting In Multi-Hour Standoff, Police Say)

Footage shared by Fox17 appears to show someone dumping a body out of a vehicle in the middle of the road. The vehicle has been identified but no suspect information has been released.
