The Republican National Committee (RNC) announced Thursday that Megyn Kelly, alongside other media personalities, will host the fourth GOP presidential debate set for Dec. 6.
The RNC selected NewsNation, The Megyn Kelly Show on SiriusXM, The Washington Free Beacon and Rumble as the co-hosts for the next debate, which will take place in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Washington Free Beacon Editor-In-Chief Eliana Johnson and NewsNation’s Elizabeth Vargas will join Kelly to moderate the forum.
“It will be the margarita of debates – spicy, fun and somewhat intoxicating. Looking forward to it,” Kelly said in a press release.

The first two debates were hosted by Fox News and Fox Business with Young America’s Foundation (YAF), the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, Univision and Rumble being chosen as partners. The second debate in particular faced backlash from prominent conservative media personalities after Univision anchor Ilia Calderón asked questions about racism and LGBTQ discrimination.
Kelly herself criticized the second debate, tweeting, “is this an MSNBC debate?”
After the backlash, the RNC chose NBC News, alongside Salem Radio News and the Republican Jewish Coalition, as partners for the debate. Barring a few fiery exchanges, the third debate served more as a time for the candidates to give their talking points and had fewer opportunities for the politicians to respond.
The chairman of its Temporary Committee on Presidential Debates, David Bossie, previously promised in a 2022 interview that the debates wouldn’t go to the “same old outlets” and would raise up “conservative media.” (RELATED: The RNC Said This Time Would Be Different, Yet The First Two Debates Have Conservatives Frustrated And Disappointed)
“Look I am just spitballing here because we have not done anything but wouldn’t the American people, the Republican primary voters want to see a debate where, I don’t know Mark Levin and Dan Bongino got to ask questions? Right? Wouldn’t that be interesting and entertaining all at the same time?” Bossie told Daily Caller editorial director and WMALDC radio host Vince Coglianese when asked if the debates would be hosted by conservative media outlets such as the Daily Wire, Breitbart or National Review.
