Chip Burkhalter is Director of Government Affairs and Science Based Conservation for Safari Club International (SCI). Chip brings nearly two decades of experience in both the public and private sectors, where he worked on a variety of issues. Immediately prior to joining SCI, Chip worked in Government Relations for Palantir Technologies, one of the world’s leading high-technology companies. While with Palantir, Chip worked with relevant Members of Congress and their and Staffs to advance the company’s legislative agenda.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Chip spent nearly a decade working in the US Government focused on international affairs, counterterrorsim, and counterintelligence, with an emphasis on Africa and the Middle East. Chip spent several years abroad, including tours in Africa, and Iraq. Prior to joining the Federal Government, Chip had a successful career in finance in Boston and New York City.
