Gary Lai is an activist based in Hong Kong. Currently a full-time graduate student at the University of Hong Kong, he founded and ran the anti-poverty campaign TKO Poverty for ten years. His commentaries have appeared in the Daily Monitor (Uganda), the Vancouver Sun, the News Lens (Taiwan), the Hong Kong Free Press, and the Stand News (Hong Kong) -- among others.
