Dr. Mark Green is a state senator from Tennessee representing the 22nd District (Clarksville). He is also an emergency room physician and business owner. Previous to being elected to the state senate, Dr. Green was a highly decorated special operations flight surgeon with the Army’s 160th Special Ops Aviation Regiment (SOAR). He was on the mission when Saddam Hussein was captured and assigned to monitor the Iraqi dictator during his first night in captivity. This resulted in a six hour conversation which he chronicled in his book, A Night With Saddam.
