Tarren R. Bragdon is Chief Executive Officer of The Maine Heritage Policy Center. Prior to becoming CEO in January of 2008, Tarren served for five years as the Center's Director of Health Reform Initiatives.<br /> <br /> From 1996 through 2000, Tarren served in the Maine House of Representatives. He is the youngest person ever to be elected to the Maine House, being sworn in when he was just eleven days past the constitutional requirement of twenty-one years of age. <br /> <br /> He is a recognized expert on health care and Medicaid policy issues. His work has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, New York Post, Boston Globe, and the New York Times; on Fox News, National Public Radio and National Public Television; and in numerous other publications and media outlets. Bragdon has testified on health insurance reform issues before the U.S. Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee and before relevant committees of the Illinois Legislature, New York Legislature, Connecticut Legislature and Maine Legislature as well as numerous conferences around the United States and in Switzerland. <br /> <br /> In 2008, he was selected as one of ten Next leaders to watch by MaineBiz magazine and as the 18th most influential political person in Maine by PolitickerME.com.<br /> <br /> He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Maine and his Masters of Science of Business degree from Husson University.<br /> <br /> Tarren lives in China, Maine with his wife, Anna, and their four children.
