HOUSTON (AP) — Authorities have accused a Houston mom of flying to Canada to lure a 16-year-old boy from his home after allegedly having an online sexual relationship with him for more than a year.
Lauri Price appeared in a Houston courtroom Wednesday after being arrested a day earlier when the 42-year-old returned from Canada.
Authorities say Price went to the boy’s home in Barrie, Ontario, on Dec. 19 and took him to a nearby town to have sex.
Price is not facing sexual assault charges because the age of consent in Canada is 16.
Houston prosecutors charged her with two counts of online solicitation of a minor and one count of enticing a child with the intent to commit a felony.
Price’s attorney didn’t immediately return a phone call.
