BALTIMORE (AP) — Gov. Martin O’Malley hopes to boost construction jobs by renewing Maryland’s heritage tax credit, which is set to expire this year.

O’Malley says the $50 million, three-year program should be revived to spur economic development.

The current program has been in effect for 14 years. It has resulted in more than $347 million in revitalization projects since 1996.
